Ladies Start Times

Update - Suspended until further notice

Following lengthy discussions with Golf England, we now fully understand the latest advice for group lessons and roll ups whilst we are in tier two and we would now like to propose a new protocol for roll ups over the next few months.

During the winter it is inevitable we will get days like today when both seniors and ladies who have registered for the roll up simply don't fancy playing in inclement weather. The problem with this is that the hardy souls who do turn up can find themselves without playing partners - leading to frustration all round and much more work for the organisers swapping groups around.

With immediate effect we propose that the Ladies who want to play on any given Thursday meet OUTSIDE at 8.45 for a 9am start from the 1st tee only and the seniors meet on Wednesdays from 8.15 for an 8.30 am start from the 1st and 7th tees. Mike and Heather will then allocate your playing partners either by way of a draw or simply in the order that people arrive.

It is also really important that you all players  respect the social distancing rules whilst you wait for the groups to be allocated and in particular please do not to congregate in groups of more than six.

The results of the roll ups can be found by logging in to master scoreboard (we are listed in the society section) for those of you who are interested.

The clubhouse and changing room will remain closed ( the disabled toilet will be available at the end of the round) and Mirinda will leave a supply of scorecards outside the front door. Tea and coffee will be available from the pro shop after you round but only for consumption outside the building  (until we return to tier 1).

Inevitably between now and the end of March there are going to be days when we have to close the course and we will do our best to make this decision by 5pm on the day prior to your roll ups however this is not always possible and we apologise now if very occasionally anyone has a wasted journey.

Stay safe and enjoy your golf!
